This journal article is one that I found very interesting for personal reasons rather than professional ones. In this study, they found an association between high frequency of organic food consumption and a reduction in incidence of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and postmenopausal breast cancer. The findings are controversial because they were not consistent with some previous studies, and if they are true, would suggest that the U.S. should rethink industrial farming techniques. The article also reminded me of a Buddhist teaching that edible food can be a source of suffering.
